Dear Seniors,

We are proud of your accomplishments and want to properly recognize you for all that you have done during your high school years. Each year we publish Senior Highlights on CLS social media outlets, and the response everyone gets is very encouraging. We have provided a sample of some Senior Highlights from last year so you can have an idea of the kinds of information we want you to give us. zvi ferrari

Zvi Ferrari has attended CLS since 9th Grade and has been on the Honor Roll. Classes of interest include International Affairs, American History, America’s Founding Government, Modern World History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Computer Aided Design, Digital Image Processing, Systematic Theology, Apologetics, Classics of Literature, American Literature, Journalism and Psychology. Zvi served on the Growl Student Newspaper staff (9th-12th) and the Soli Deo Gloria Yearbook staff (9th-12th) where he served as Business Manager (12th). As a Cougar Athlete, Zvi played Soccer (10th-12th), was the Soccer Team Captain (12th), was twice named the Most Valuable Player (11th-12th), was selected to the PVAC All Stars 1st Team (11th), and was named the MCST Most Valuable Player (12th) as he helped the Cougars win the Maryland Christian School State Tournament Soccer Championship (12th). He holds several current CLS Cougar Records, including 92 Career Goals, 58 Single Season Goals, and 7 Single Game Goals among other records. Outside of CLS, he has trained with the Queens Park Rangers in London, and was selected to play internationally with the US Youth Soccer Region I ODP Team. Zvi has been accepted to Methodist University and Cabrini University. He plans to attend Methodist University in the fall to study Engineering and Information Technology.

julia rohrer

Julia Rohrer has attended CLS since 9th Grade, has been inducted into the National Honor Society and been on the Honor Roll (Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude) all four years of high school. Classes of interest include International Affairs, American Government (Honors), European History, Biology, Chemistry, Art 1 and Art 2, Spanish 5, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Hermeneutics, Systematic Theology, Apologetics, English 10 (Honors), Classics of Literature, AP Psychology, AP English Literature, AP US History and AP Statistics, earning Academic Excellence Awards in History (9th), Hermeneutics (10th), AP US History (11th), and the Teacher’s Choice in Spanish (9th). Julia sang in the high school Choir (9th -12th) and the A Capella Choir (9th, 11th-12th). She was elected to serve in Student Government (10th - 12th) and served as the SGA Secretary (11th-12th), and was also a Student Mentor (10th-11th). As a Cougar Athlete, Julia ran Cross Country (9th -12th), was the Girls Cross Country Captain (11th & 12th), received the Most Improved Runner Award (9th &10th), the Coaches Award (11th &12th), and was named to the PVAC All Stars 2nd Team (11th). She helped lead the team to win the Maryland Independent Cross Country League Championship (12th). Julia was part of the cast in three Drama Productions, Godspell (10th), City Rising (11th), and Pilgrim (12th). She did Student Work Internships with Forcey Christian School, Pediatric and Adolescent Care of Silver Spring, and at Church of the Atonement, and participated in a cross-cultural immersion trip to Juarez, Mexico with the Spanish 4 class (11th). Julia has been accepted to Roanoke College ($30,500/yr.), Salisbury University ($3,000/yr.), Christopher Newport University ($5,000/yr.), McDaniel College ($22,000/yr.) and St. Mary’s College ($3,000/yr.).  She plans to attend Salisbury University in the fall majoring in ESL or Communications.

michelle pranoto

Michelle Pranoto has attended CLS since 9th Grade and has been on the Honor Roll all four years of high school. Classes of interest include International Affairs, America’s Founding Government, American History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Computer Aided Design, Digital Image Processing, Spanish 3, Systematic Theology, Apologetics, American Literature, Classics of Literature, AP Psychology and AP Statistics. Michelle sang in the high school Choir (9th -11th) and the A Capella Choir (11th–12th), was part of the Chapel Band (10th-12th), and was the Percussion Section Leader in the Symphonic Band (12th). She was elected to serve in Student Government (12th) and was a Student Mentor (12th). Michelle was involved in the Drama Production, Pilgrim (12th), as part of the Ensemble. Michelle did Student Work Internships at Covenant Life School (music dept.), Watkins Mill High School (math dept.), McLean Bible Church (worship & music) and at Laytonsville Elementary School (music dept.). Michelle has been accepted at Lee University, Regent University and Berklee College of Music. She has not finalized her decision regarding where she will attend in the fall to study toward her career goal of becoming a Music Teacher.

hudson lowe

Hudson Lowe has attended CLS since 6th Grade, has been inducted into the National Honor Society and been on the Honor Roll (Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude) all four years of high school. Classes of interest include International Affairs (Honors), America’s Founding Government (Honors), World War II History, The Cold War, European History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Systematic Theology, Apologetics, English 10 (Honors), American Literature, Classics of Literature, AP Biology, AP US History, AP Psychology and AP Statistics. Hudson sang in the high school Choir (9th-12th) and the A Capella Choir (9th-11th). He served as a Student Mentor (11th– 12th), was elected to serve in Student Government (9th, 11th-12th) and was elected Student Government Vice President (12th).  As a Cougar Athlete, Hudson was on the Wrestling Team (9th), played Soccer (9th-12th), Basketball (10th & 12th), and Golf (10th-11th). He was Captain of the Basketball Team (12th) and received the Coaches Award (12th). Hudson helped the Cougars become the PVAC Golf Tournament Champions (10th), the PVAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions in Soccer (9th) and win the Maryland Christian School State Tournament Soccer Championship (12th). He did Student Work Internships with Youth Outreach, Social Youth Programs, and Adobe (sales). Hudson has been accepted to and plans to attend the University of Maryland College Park with a major in Engineering.
