Live Grateful & Give Grateful CLS

Live Grateful & Give Grateful CLS

Throughout November we are planning for ways to Live Grateful & Give Grateful. In fact, we’re claiming the hashtag #livegivegratefulCLS and throughout the month we invite you to participate with us as we declare our gratefulness through words, actions, and praise.

Words:

We will kick off our month of gratitude by introducing this celebration to our students in our various chapels. Additionally, we will be doing a variety of activities throughout the month that will help us all to reflect, with gratitude, on ways that the Lord has richly blessed us. Be on the look out on our social media, eNews and website of all that is going on!

Actions:

Manna Food Drive – Partnering with the Manna Food Center, we will collect the below food items on Tuesday, 11/10 and Thursday, 11/12 at 8am. (A donation table will be set up by the CLS entrance.) These donations will serve our neighbors who are food insecure during these uncertain times. Additionally, if you can’t drop off on either of these dates we will have a donation box outside the whole week.

Once these items are collected some of our elementary classes will be putting together these care packages which will be handed out to the homeless who come for a meal.

First Responders Lunch – Some of our upper school students will be delivering  boxed lunches from Chick-fil-A Olney to our local fire station to thank them for their hard work and dedication. Our elementary will also be creating different handmade crafts to thank them for their service.

Praise:

We want to praise and thank the Lord for the ways that he is working in our school and community. We will highlight and give praise through various programs such as our arts, music, and athletics.

This praise will culminate with an all school chapel on Friday, 11/20 at 8:15-9:00am. We would love for all parents who can participate to join us in praise.
