WHAT TO EXPECT IN HIGH SCHOOL

Mandatory Upper School Attire: (Grades 6-12)
- CLS uniform shirts (Both the old logo and new seal will be accepted.)
- Khaki or Black trousers or skirts
- Socks (Black, White, Khaki)
- Brown, black, or beige leather dress shoes or sneakers
Students are not to wear: boots (including Timberland boots), moccasins, athletic sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, head phones, hats, or other accessories to the dress code.
Land’s End provides the CLS school uniforms, including PE uniforms.

Free Dress Down Days:
CLS offers Free Dress Days on many days to show school spirit, to support a fundraiser or to simply relax for a day. These days come at the discretion of the Head of School.

Athletics play an important role in the Covenant Life School experience for everyone in our school community, helping to build school identity and unity. High school students are encouraged to join one of our athletic teams. Varsity is the most organized and intense level of competition at CLS.
High school sports teams: baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, volleyball, wrestling.
Please note that fall sports tryouts begin August 15th.
High School students enter the Main Church Lobby Front Entrance. High School dismissed out the Back South Lobby Door or the lower back door toward the back parking lot.
This school year we are hopeful to introduce a bus pick-up route with our new 44 passenger school bus! The pick-up locations will likely include Damascus, Clarksburg, Germantown, and possibly Mt. Airy. More specific information and sign-up details will be posted here as they become available.

Fall Sports Tryouts Begin

New Parent Dinner at 6:30 – 7:30pm: Your official welcome and orientation to CLS! This time will allow you to meet and fellowship with other new families and also include important information about the upcoming school year.
Friday, August 19
6-12th Meet & Greet & Uniform Sale at 9:30-11:30am: Meet new classmates, meet your teachers, get assigned lockers, bring in school supplies and put them in your lockers and see classrooms all set up!
Mentor Lunch Meeting (Grades 6-12) at 11:00-11:45am: This will be a time for your student to meet and get to know their student mentor. (This will be for students only.) Lunch would be provided!
Ice Cream Social at 11:45-12:30pm: Have some ice cream, meet new families, and hang out on the back lawn!
Monday, August 22 – 6-12 Grade First Day of School! (Classes begin at 7:53am; dismissal 3:09pm)
New Student IT Orientation – Setup/Login Chromebooks, Renweb, email addresses, Google classroom.
Thursday, September 22 at 6:30-8:30pm: Back to School Parents Meeting. This mandatory meeting kicks off the school year.
